Well, I don't know if you're just trying to be humorous, or if you are
asking a question, but, assuming the latter...
While I have no direct knowledge of any of the events in your war, I can
guess what happened. If your enemy was using a pledge chain, then one of
the nobles on that chain has died. Dead bodies can be pledged to, but
they can't pledge to anyone else, so if anyone on a chain dies, they
invariably end up as the ruler of all the pledged land until the chain is
reordered. Of course, it could be something else (and may be in this
situation), but I've seen that scenerio happen quite a few times. (Or it
could just be that Sir Codric passed away, since I don't know his id#).
