Greetings,

In regards to recent land claims on Atala, I have been chosen as a
spokesperson by the Atalan Coalition, comprised of the residents of Atala
prior to the arrival of the Rimmon Musketeers.

Following a civil exchange of messages with Lord Maltar, the Coalition has
decided that its claims on Atala are just. Specifically, the claim of all
lands on Atala east of and including the 52nd longitude.

The Atalan Coalition has the following points to raise.

1) The Free Range Llamas claim of eastern Atala (85 and east, to be
specific) predates any other claim on the continent. For this reason, we
will not include this territory in any agreement on land division. For the
same reason, the Free Range Llamas will not be counted in the number of
factions dividing up the rest of Atala.

2) It seems that Musketeer estimates on the total size of Atala are well
over the actual land provinces present. By our estimates, the there are
approximately 320 provinces between longitudes 52 and 85. The source of
the Musketeer error most likely lies in the fact that a large body of water
cuts deeply into this region. Finally, there are approximately 110
provinces remaining west of 52.

3) The Rimmon Musketeers suggested partitioning land into 100 province
fiefs for each faction on the continent. Given the great number of
factions present on Atala prior to the Musketeers' arrival, and the number
of provinces actually available, our claim is reasonable by the Musketeers'
own standards.

It is unfortunate if a significant investment has been made in the Rimmon
Musketeers' colonization of Atala, and we sympathize, but this is our home
and our investment on Atala have been equally, if not more, significant.
We will not give up our lands.
