War -- who cares?

Ok, now that everyone has vented their opinions on the matter... Let it
rest. Most of the people discussing this aren't involved, myself included.

Where are we now -- Horsemen started the Ghazi because of perceived threat
and insults. This is reasonable, and even in-character. No one raised a
fuss when they did so.

Codric retaliated. That's what happens. Even Khamath has said that he has
no problem with that, so why should anyone else? Khamath knew the risks
involved, and two things can happen: 1)he's prepared for it, and will deal
with Codric's force, or 2)he's not prepared, and Codric will do as he
pleases. What's the big deal? Let them work their own differences out.
Bring the matter to the world's attention, then take it to your own
alliances and friends and decide what you want to do. It's world politics
-- no morals are valid except your own. Do as you see fit, and deal with
the consequences. I DO keep forces in my castle, with a noble sitting
there, becuase that's common sense. If someone attacks me, I WILL
retailliate, because that's common sense, too. And I'll do what it takes
to keep things from happening again. You're bound to get repeat the
situation if you don't.

If peace-minded people want to try and stop all of this, approach the
people involved. If they want it stopped, they'll cooperate. If someone
REALLY wants it stopped, step in and stop it.

Conn of the Hundred Battles
(Note, that is a character speaking. Didn't use any dialect, though, for
courtesy. Hehe.)

If we want to get REALLY anal, we could say that the list should be gone,
because people on the other side of the continent, let alone the world,
wouldn't even know about any of this for months, if ever.

As for the movement bug, even the people arguing in favor of it keep calling it 'a bug.' What does the term imply? Something that isn't functioning correctly. Sure, Olympia is a fantasy game, but the fantasy lies in using dragons and centaurs. Let the forces move faster because they are riding, but adjust the speed for quantity. Still faster mounted, but not as fast as small groups. Fix the bug so everything is balanced.

Now, that's from the player...
