Captain,
I thought you wanted to keep these types of things on the gcoa list?
I guess when you perceive an advantage you want the debate to be public, but
when you're at the disadvantage it's wiser to discuss things in private.
But, since you drag it back into the public forum....

For the record: I don't agree with LotC's counterattack and think it ill-
advised. I also had no fore-knowledge of it and would have counciled against
it if asked.

But, why is anybody surprised at this? Haven't members of the Harn
confederation been attacking LotC holdings (and bragging about it in the
Times) for several turns now? Wasn't the so-called ghazi declared on this
very list? Why is LotC being portrayed as the agressor here? They were
attacked first.
I think the whole thing is rather silly.
Harn declared the ghazi to "punish" LotC for past insults. At the time, many
people warned that while Harn may see the possibility of a limited war, it was
only a matter of time before LotC counter attacked. They knew this going in
and yet act as if they are surprised.

I'm very interested to see how this one plays out....
