Our reasonable request...

Greetings, folks. Wanted to post this to the list, so if any trouble
should ever arise of these goings-on the whole deal would be wide open for
judgement.
First, our request, then a little background:

"Trader Thebes, Vassal of Chronos. We of the Republic of South Camaris
understand the desire to earn a decent living, and trade is most certainly
a noble method of such gain. However, the local economy in southern
Camaris can only bear so much. As the local residents, we are attempting
to develop merchant relations, so our own peoples can obtain some semblance
of wealth.

We ask that you cease your attempts at moving our locally produced goods
elsewhere. These products are the lifeblood of our craftsmen and farmers,
and the income generated is necessary for their continued success.

One day, in the glorious future, maybe trade amongst our kingdoms will be
possible. For the moment, however, we wish to deal with our own surpluses.
We have asked you, and your lord, to remain clear of our lands without
prior notice. All attempts at civil communication have failed, and we will
be forced to act. If Thebes, or any other vassal of Lord Chronos, again
returns to Mourning Hollow, without prior accord, he will be used as an
example.

We regret the need for threats, but sometimes there is no other avenue."

Ok, the deal. Chronos, a member of a neighboring alliance, was hanging out
in one of our cities in earlier days. We spoke to he, and his alliance,
about his presence, and asked that any travels in our land be brought to
our attention. The alliance agreed, and spoke to Chronos about it.
Everything was cool, but now a 'vassal of Chronos' has returned. We've
asked him politely not to return, or to steal our trading potential.
Hopefully, he'll listen. We just wanted to let everyone know, so we won't
have a potential misunderstanding. Sorry this is so long, but I don't get
to play diplomat very often. It's really no big deal, but... If anyone
cares, copies of messages between the noble and our group can be obtained
from me.
