Trade Rules

I don't think the profit from trade should be decreased. I find the profit
from trade is greater, but castles have military and strategic advantages.
I'd say the trade profit is reasonable in comparison to castles.

City holders should not get an automatic cut of trade revenue--they should
have to negotiate for it with the traders. Increasing the civ level based on
the amount of trade is a good idea; the increased prosperity would tend to
increase general tax revenues.

If you're going to add chrome to the Trade mechanism, the most important
change should be to have prices for rare goods rise with distance. The second
change I support is having cities buy more goods than they produce--you may
only make silk, buy you could still buy walnuts, pipe weed and chocolate!
Third, I agree that use 733 should work for goods that are no longer
produced--maybe more/less profit, but people still want plum wine when its out
of season.
