This is true, yet highly misleading.

If you neighbor says to you: "be one of us, or we will kill you," & if
you then decide to be one of "us," you will find that the bonds of
allinace, usually noble & strong, are not so strong with your newfound
"allies."

This is precisely what happened to the IC, as I understand events.

The Eagle Alliance will continue to pursue wrongheaded policies because
even though Fox is gone, the reverberations of his over-aggressive
policies continue to rock Provinia. It is not enough for the Eagle
Alliance, or its members, or even the New Empire, to renounce Foxonian
diplomatic positions & then neglect to address the wrongs created by
those positions.

I am not saying that the Eagle Alliance is forever crippled by the
association of one uncouth faction. Nonetheless, both the lack of IC
loyalty, as it is said to be, & the carnage wrought on Provinia are
Fox's legacy. When the Eagle Alliance acts on these events, they de
facto support the Fox actions which brought them about.

It's just as absurd for Plato or others to be attacking because of what
Fox did. After all, he's gone.

This can all be resolved if we identify the few places where Fox's
record can be set aright quite easily. & there's no doubt that you will
find this through reasonable negotiations between the IC, & the NE, if
you do not insist, as the EA does, that things be set "aright as they
were." As they were was not any way "right" precisely because of Fox's
actions. I can't speak for all of Plato on this point, but when I heard
of how the New Empire treated the IC, I knew that as a proper vigilante,
as I fashion myself, I had found my target. That the EA is amazed at
the IC position, either shows its total lack of knowledge about what Fox
was doing (highly likely), or a blithe imperial attitude on their part
(pretty unlikely, IMHO).

Finally, as Plato was appalled at the treatment of the IC by Fox, we are
again aghast at the treatment of the IC by the EA. & it may well be
that harm against the IC will be answered with more than noble words
only.

best wishes,
Captain Arrrr
