No. You can also run away, or you can hide in the safe haven, in which
you can build towers and research to your heart's content.
What you're seeing in Yellowleaf right now are people dying who are
simply refusing to run away. Banquo's Ghost left the area, though;
he's not as stupid as his diplomacy makes him sound.
