I am very neutral in the PLATO/New Empire war.
I was merely responding to the continual AOO scaremongering which I
find boring as it doesn't relate to this game at all. I hate it when
people take their prejudices from one game to the next and frankly I
don't see anything wrong with what the AOO did apart from being a
bunch of arrogant prats. That is their perogative given the game
system. Rich realised this and changed the game system.
Personally I am all for honourable war and letting your enemies know
you are declaring war on them BEFORE the troops arrive but hey that
is just me and the persona I use when playing. One day I might choose
a different persona and attack anyone I feel like because I can or I
might decide to play the benevolent statesmen striving to get
everyone working together without conflict to create a mighty trading
empire (TIBBS). But as I said that is a personal choice.
