Troop experience

This sounds doable. It's similar to the experience system seen in games
like Panzer General. If the noble's record is what contains the experience
level for his troops (one number), it avoids the explosion of the database
size.

As in Panzer general, the unit of troops as a whole gains experience, and
when you add new troops, that experience level is adjusted to reflect the
reduction or increase in average experience.

Whether or not it is worth making the change is whole different question...
