Two turns ago, two of our nobles were attacked and killed by Lord Vyassa's troops. There was no state of war between us and Lord Vyassa. To the contrary: When we lost almost all our nobles to Maddog in the Sweetwood massacre, Vyassa offered us his assistance and we moved our remaining nobles to Ravenwood. We asked his permission to erect a tower - which we thought was a resonable request after his offer of help, and he did not object. We again mailed him, and asked him to tell us if he had any problems with us building a tower, he never answered. When next we left Ravenwood, the garrisson outside the town attacked us, two of our nobles were slain. Again we sent mail to Vyassa, to ask him why he gave orders to attack the nobles, he never answered. Another mail was written, this time directed at the player, which again remained unanswered. We would like to use this Times article as another way of asking the question: why on earth did Vyassa attack nobles that posed no threat to him at all? Nobles he had actually offered to help. Please take note that we never even started to build that tower. We again ask Lord Vyassa to contact us, as we still have a feeble hope, that all this was a misunderstanding, and matters can be settled to both sides' satisfaction. We also welcome any comments on these happenings.

I hope those poor Rimmo's get some info from their superiors. Cause I don't understand why they keep coming to get slaughtered. Must be Maltar's charisma, hehe.

It all started over confusing my E's and W's... That and the fact real men don't ask for directions... So here I am, heading for Azure city, and all of a sudden it appears I have walked into "Bruce Land"... This guy Bruce must really get around... Either that or he is a poofter. Then I realize, 'Damn! I've wandered into the lands of the LOTC... All the rumors I've heard is they are rabid canibals... Well no help for it, I might as well put on a brave front. [Hell, I do have 12 aura after all...] Might as well saunter up to Lord Codric's castle and announce myself like god himself... And suprise of surprises... I am recieved with such gratious hospitality as to make me wonder about the sanity of those who spread the rumors proclaiming their barbaric nature... For those of you who have heard tell of the wonders of Belgian hospitality, I am here to say whatever you have heard is not near enough to express how gracious my hosts were. Why even Lord Artimis [Lord Codric's pitbull] was a friendly, jolly fellow.
Now let me put a few rumors to rest:
1) Lord Artimis is not a grunting barbarian who wears a hair shirt and has no concept of table cutlery... At no time I was there did he wear a hair shirt. 2) There really are that many players in the LOTC, and they sit around a big table (in a pub, naturally) and have a council every Friday... That level of coordination is amazing... Their enemies really do have a lot to be afraid of... 3) The lady does have a beard... And needs to learn to trim it neatly... Unless of course she is going for a "kurt coban" sort of look. 4) Belgian beer is better than German beer. No doubt the real reason for the invasion in 1940. 5) There is no truth to the rumor that Sir Codric rules them all with an iron truncheon. While he did flog several members with a WOODEN truncheon, I was informed it was all in good fun and just hisway of "expressing enthusiasm". He is a benevolent ruler who allows others to express their agreement with him.
Now some words of cultural advice for those who plan to travel to Belgium:
1) If you travel to Belgium and meet with the LOTC, sleep before you get there. They are for the most part young and consequently heal faster than us old folks. 2) PRACTICE your QUAKE. It will save you some embarassment. 3) PRACTICE your volleyball. It will save you a LOTof embarassment. [The proof that they are young...After discussing Olympia until 4:30 am, gathering to play volleyball at 10am...]
To Domme, Yves, Kurt, Mike and all the rest: Thank you for your friendship and the pleasure of your company on my visit to Belgium. To Ruben and Minne, you opened your home to me and I can not express my thanks to you enough. To all of you, my trip to Belgium was a high point of my trip to Europe... Second only to the reason I was there in the first place. :)
Cheers, Thanks again, Vyassa

Mercenaries Wanted!
Are there any factions out there interested in taking on some mercenary work? I am looking for a few (well, a lot actually) good men to do some raiding, shipping disruption, undercover work, magical combat, and information gathering. I can afford to pay handsomely, and guarantee excitement, glory, and the chance to make enemies for life! Please contact me through the mystical messaging service if you are interested.
Note: I had several takers, all of whom have by now received their first payment and are embarking on their assigned missions. However, I have unlimited cash, and lots of work, so keep those cards and letters coming!

Just a reminder that the Brotherhood of the Red God is harrassing the Lord's shipping and naval troop movements in the Camaris Straits. All neutral ships in the waters between Camaris and Provinia east of the 50 longtitude line running through Harn should contact us so you are not caught up in this conflict. Any ships in these waters that have not contacted us will be considered hostile till we have determined otherwise.
We currently have Brothers in the Drassa region with little to do. We are currently looking for contracts of any sort (training, recruiting, raiding, patrol duty, etc) in this area or any of the nearby islands. We have ship transport and don;t mind travelling.
Please visit our web site at http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/1843/borg.html or contact us at asgardian@bigfoot.com

Anyone want to buy some slightly used ships??
We at the Camaris Used Shipyard (A wholly owned subsidry of BoRG Inc) are overloaded with excess stock. Come on make us an offer and you can be the proud owner of a part of Olympian history.
PS Has anyone found a use for flotsam????
Hmmm, the time flies. Soon, you'll all be begging me for a taste... You know that the only reason that you tried to get rid of me was to steal my peat.
Hear we go again. "Draft those peasants we are going to war". "Send those peasants home we are not going to war after all". "Draft those peasants we are going to war." The boss needs to make up his mind. I'm not sure who is more confused, me or the peasants.
Pig Foul will make a nice roast !!!

I had a dream, ...
that one day, my armies would conquer the Lords territory, that I could marry Lady Eowyn, that the castle on Mount Olympus would reign Provinia, that my castle in Kygors Blessing would govern East-Rimmon territory, that the border castles of Boden City, Davchar and Othon would form a ultimate defense girdle against any possible counterattacks...
Alas, ...
my armystacks bumped against barriers and didn't move one inch since. I can't abducte Lady Eowyn as my stacks can't move, so 'll have to breed with my horse again *snort*. Musketeers Fort got annihilated by devastating lightning bolts and the castle on Mount Olympus was blown away by mighty storms. Boden-city, Davchar and Othon were destroyed by the dangerous Bruce-virus. I had a dream, and it became a nightmare...

Me love you long time is what she said A sight to see from toes to head. Dimples on cheeks both left and right Dazzling legs and buns so tight. Oh my love where have you gone God I yearn to love you long. Lastly dear I pledge to you I shall return and they will rue. Voices rise as swordmen cheer Enter the city he holds so dear Slaughter them all and string the ear.
Poor Forester1 [4494], such a good scout. Atleast you've seen the inside of one of our cities before you died. Well, let's hope Boden City was better !
Is it true that Rimmon and TIBs are allies ? Ofcourse it isn't. Atleast not while TIBs has more castles then Rimmon has provinces.

Well, I'm touched. Somebody faked one of my rumors under one of my many fake aliases. They messed up the details, but I do that too, some times on purpose. They did get some stuff right, and altogather I think that tells me who it was. For future such fake rumors, just remember; vague, insubstantial, and faintly threatening. Farewell, for now, and I look forward to continuing this little game, moreso since I know who you are. I hope you feel the same, since I'm sure...
-you know who I am.
