I'm sure having a tough time breeding dragons. Does anyone know if my location affects my success rate? Is there any way to reduce my death rate during breeding attempts.?

NEW MEMBERSHIP
It brings us great pleasure to announce the addition of Spanish Inquisition [vh3] and House Lucerne [sy7] as Charter Members of the Royal Geographical Society. Spanish Inquisition is setting forth this turn to explore the unknown areas to the southeast, and House Lucerne also has agreed to conduct an Expedition in the near future. We salute our new brothers, and welcome them to the Great Adventure that is the Explorer's life!
AN EXCHANGE OF TROOPS
In the interest of creating a strong defense force for our new Drucartan headquarters, the RGS is willing to trade some of its fine beast stock for human troops. We are currently producing Dragons, Giant Birds, and Nazgul, and offer the following rates of exchange:
For a dragon: 30 soldiers For a giant bird: 20 soldiers For a nazgul: 10 soldiers
We consider other human troop types to be even more valuable:
Blessed soldiers count as 2 soldiers Pikemen count 2 Swordsmen count 2 Crossbowmen count 2 Archers count 3 Elite archers count 4 Knights count 3 Elite guards count 4
Unlike human troops, beasts require no maintenance. They also have superior movement rates, and of course the giant birds and nazgul can fly. The attack and defense factors of beasts are also generally superior to those of humans.
If you do not have a beast-breeding program already in place, this could be your opportunity to establish one. Or, if you have more human troops on hand than you wish to support, an exchange might be the best answer to your financial problems.
THE ROYAL GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY
is a non-political, non-aligned Organization devoted to the exploration of Olympia and its environs. Each week, we publish our findings in the New Atlas, which is distributed to the Membership at large. We are currently seeking new Members, who must be Factions in good standing, and who must also satisfy the following criteria:
* Charter Membership. A large, one-time gift of new mapping information, or agreement to undertake an RGS Expedition, or a significant contribution of resources in support of the Society and its cause. Charter Members are announced each week in the Olympia Times. They receive updates of the New Atlas on a regular basis, and gain access to the RGS archives.
* Affilitate Membership. Any reasonable contribution of new mapping information entitles a Faction to Affiliate status. The identities of our Affiliates are kept strictly secret. They receive an update of the Atlas upon each submission of new information.
ASSISTANCE FOR STARTING FACTIONS
The Society extends the hand of friendship to all recently-formed Factions. We will send any such Faction one copy of the New Atlas, free of obligation, together with whatever advice and assistance our humble Organization can provide.

Customer Testamonial on behalf of the First Bank of Provinia
Greetings, Provinians! My name's Jack and these are my beans. I'm a trader. I travel Provinia buying and selling the finest beans and linen. How did I get this great career? The First Bank of Provinia gave me a small-business loan, that's how. They have everything a businessman like myself could need: low-interest loans, high interest rates, newbie bonuses, warehouse facilities, shipping services... What else could you ask for?
So take it from me, Jaques et ses Haricots, don't wind up lying in the gutters of Imperial City weaving baskets. Stop by the First Bank of Provinia a call. You'll be glad you did.

They call me Mr. Putterman...

spisst...who is the AOO
A penny <=> A thougth 25 Gold <=> A Rumor chi-ching!
Home at last!
The Clan with No Name have no integrity. Their promises mean nothing , and their protection is a facade
Say, isn't there a pollution problem with all of these winged horses flying around? Could make foot travel somewhat unpleasant. If you had enough winged horses, couldn't they swamp a ship at sea? What sort of anti-aircraft protection do these boats have anyway? O tell us, great Atnerks, lest we be up to our eyes in ****.
On that note, how does one parse "winged horse manure"? Is there a market for spicy horse wings? Do they taste like chicken?
money for the month.
Gold for the needy!
... one for Peter, two for Paul, three for Her who made us all.
old editors' texts never die
It is possible even to persuade a man out of his solemn oath. But it takes quite a bit of gold and patience.
Am i first this time?
"will someone please tell me what SPINY root does, I've got lots and don't know what to do with it"
Water, water everywhere, and still only 25 gold.

Is it just me, or does this sound like someone nervous about being invaded? Where are South and West Camaris exactly?
Does anyone know of a noble named Bob the Jolly Fat Guy? I don't know his id, faction or if he's even still alive.
Watch out behind you.
I have reason to believe that The Clan With No Name is planning another major offensive. Any bets on who they're going to invade next? I know they made pretty short work of ol' General Norc. But hey, my grandmother could have made short work of the Liberty Confederation. What I want to know is if they feel lucky? Well do ya, punks? Do ya have the brass to take on a more Ancient faction? I'll be in touch.
> Are the AOO really giving up?, rumor has it that they are...
So the stacks of dragons I spotted prowling the gate network last turn were just figments of my imagniation? Get real, the power is just concentrated in fewer hands now, if anything that makes them even more dangerous.
"What are savages good for?"
Well, with a couple of savages and a keg of Orc-Oil you've got the makings of a good BBQ. They taste better with a bit of salt and pepper though...
> The gates are owned by the AOO. You have been warned.
So lets see, you own Hades, Faery and the Cloudlands, and now you want the gate network as well. Oh come on guys, its not as if anyone is stupid enough to attack you anymore.
If your really bored you could always attack each other...
I've got to say something interesting, but just can't think of any.
A question to the Answer Guy: Can NPC characters such as skeletons and undead capture beasts in combat? Any details or knowledge you can share would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
FBoP: I checked out your web page, but there wasn't anything there. Seems like it will be cool once you get it done though.
From the Lore:
Catapults are sometimes loaded with the bodies of the enemy's dead and hurled over their walls, to dishearten the besieged and spread disease amongst them.
Oohh, icky! Will this work on IC?
Hades , Fairy Kingdom, Gate network.
