Well, yes, if the "secret island" is an Ilion graveyard.
Swishbuckler's banditry ended last turn when he was run to ground in Petelinus by forces of the Clan with No Name and its allies. He was wiped out to the last dragon and personally killed, the First Mate was taken prisoner.
Of the various people who helped in the long hunt, providing troops, beasts, gold or information, special mention must go to the Sheriff of Pelenth. If he was really Swishbuckler's owner, this has been the most expensive suicide operation I've ever seen.
I expect there'll be more pirates in the future, but next time we'll have the infrastructure ready to mobilise the hunt much quicker. If you see them first, report the details to me at jeremy@insignia.co.uk and we'll kill some more.

Swishbuckler has been captured, and I didn't do it. I lent a little aid in the form of manpower to one of the nobles the Swishbuckler had attacked recently, and he was able to overpower the vaunted pirate while the Swish was in a compromising position with his First Mate.
If you insist on believing that I was responsible for Swish's attacks, then please continue to do so. However, the sane and rational among you should now realize that I was not behind his actions.

Rumors
Is it true that General Norc and Swishbuckler are actually one and the same?
Q. What is the difference between Swishbuckler and grass? A. About six foot.

Retirement was a rather optimistic way of putting it, Swishbuckler!
There is One who is better than you.
I owe, I owe, so off to work I go...
Water get warm when you wet your pants, Swishie?
Oh, just what makes you think the Iron Nation 'self-destructed?'
'We taught them a lesson in 1918, and they've hardly bothered us since then.'
Or perhaps 'Never more dangerous than when dead.'
Someone Asked: > Just how untrustworthy is the Liberty Confederacy anyway?
They've never done anything untrustworthy in their dealings with me. Of course, I've had no dealings with them, so that may not be very indicative.
Someone Else asked: > Is it cheating to sell NPs?
Hmmm, good question. I'd say trading nobles for some in-game consideration would be reasonable. Think of it as a political marriage. On the other hand, trading them aroung for out-of-game things, such as money, or other non-game things would be a Bad Thing, in my book. But who am I to judge? That's just one noble's opinion.
Some Newbie asks: > How many and what sort of soldiers would one need, approximately, to > attack a lair with five Giant Birds in order to capture a few of them?
What am I? Your own personal oracle? A hundred of so knights ought to do the job, nicely. Assuming, of course, that they are accompanied by a noble who knows how to capture beasts in battle. You could probably get away with fewer, but you didn't ask for a minimum.

I walk among the mortals, feel sorry for their pity lives, I show them my exsistence, my face make them flee, it makes me anger, and I take their life, for to never give it back.

SwishBuckler's dead & gone. Left me here to sing this song. Pretty little boy with the red dress on.... SwishBuckler's dead & gone.

Sending wishes of peace and joy to all Olympia players this holiday season. (Especially peace, while a lot of us are away from our e-mail!)
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD FIGHT! ER...NIGHT! :-)
And the prophet said unto his people...
Rejoice that The Seekers of Light have made a rug out of Swishbuckler's hairy butt. So as it was written, so has it been done!
Swishbuckler is Dead! Such is the fate of all pirates. May he rot in Hell!
Grommit, they're the wrong orders, and they've gone wrong!
Just so he came and found the waves. The waves of amber grain drifting beneath Beneath the darkening sky.
" Someone asked 'Is the liberty confederation is trustworthy?' well, the recent exchange in the time between General norc and The Clan with no name, has made intertaining reading. Seems to me that The Clan has hit on an open nerve, and we were on the receiving end of some self justification on the part of the LC. So in answer to your question, read the Oly-Times and decide for yourself, but I would'nt trust NORC as far as I could throw him, and he's a big guy."
The question you have to answer is not whether the LC can be trusted, the question is, do you trust them? Even the Answer Guy can't answer that one for you.

Guerillas of the Moist: They're back, and they're not very interesting now, either. Excuse me, I have to go back to my castle and tell the dragons not to be frightened. Beware, boredom approaching.
